This role started with a lot of conversation about the aesthetic of the film and the perspective of the characters with the goal of dressing them in a way that felt natural to them. For Diaspora, Lillian dyed jackets and sewed a dress for the main character as well as helped with sourcing garments and editing the final looks. Lillian studied Fine Arts at the U of M as well as Fashion and Costuming at LaSalle College Montreal. Born and raised in Gimli, she has worked and volunteered for the Gimli Film Festival as well as contributed to stage productions in Winnipeg. She has recently been painting fabric and making quilts. He has scored over 100 episodes of television, 3 feature films, over 25 short films and documentaries, and many large-scale digital media projects, reaching audiences around the world. Delorme is also a music producer and collaborator with award-winning Canadian artists. In 2021, Justin has scored all 8 episodes of the upcoming drama series Querencia (APTN LUMI), provided music for the virtual grand opening of Qaumajuq at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, and produced the single “Almost - Feat. The Northwest Kid” by Tara Williamson, along with her full-length album “Enough” releasing later this year. Justin assembled a team of highly respected musicians for the Diaspora main title themes. Drew Jurecka is featured on the lead baritone violin, Joshua Van Tassel on drums and percussion, and Bret Higgins on upright bass. Justin also made use of a huge variety of instruments and sampled performances to create the chaotic collage of incidental music throughout the film. Her casting career evolved as an extension of her work as an actor, and as a casting assistant. Her goal in any audition environment is to empower each actor, no matter their level of experience, to show their authentic selves. Maxine was a consultant and keynote speaker for the multi-platform social action campaign Orange Daisy Project, in support of mental health for teen girls. As someone who is thriving while living with mental illness, Maxine spoke at several high school events, and at conferences for teachers and guidance counselors, including the Aboriginal Circle of Educators. She continues to prioritize social justice-based volunteerism into her daily life. Maxine began a career as a professional actor when she was twelve years old, playing Sarah Layton (Jack Layton’s daughter) in the award-winning CBC film Jack — her very first audition. Maxine furthered her on set experience working in various departments on the award-winning film H&G, which recently had a retrospective screening at the prestigious TIFF Lightbox. In addition to voice-over, commercial, theatrical, and music video roles, Maxine appeared in feature films including The Exorcism of Molly Hartley (Netflix). Most recently, Maxine played the lead role in the film Hard Way Girl which had its world premiere at the Bridge of Arts International Motivational Film Festival in Russia, and its North American Premiere at the Oscar-qualifier LA Shorts Fest in Los Angeles, and was nominated for two Windy Awards. For her role in Hard Way Girl, Maxine won a Joey Award (Canada’s national awards for young actors) for best actress in a short film in her age category and was nominated for a MIC Award. Andrew's dramatic and documentary production experiences have taken him across Canada and around the world, fixing his eye on subjects as diverse as death-defying escapes in distant lands, the labyrinthine political arena of Turkish harems, documenting potentially lycanthropic adolescents, fantastical family adventures in northern Saskatchewan and international catfishing scandals, but he’s especially happy when he can tell stories from his hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba. His creative curiosity, teamed with an ever-expanding technical and theoretical knowledge base, has produced work for interactive media platforms, and includes experiments in stereographic imaging, interactive narrative films for touchscreen devices, 360° video presentations and transmedia collaborations which are exploring the boundaries of what’s possible with images and story. He considers visual storytelling both a privilege and a responsibility and is fascinated by the power of images: his central focus is to develop unique visual interpretations for a story and Andrew enjoys experimenting with new narrative possibilities with every project. He holds a BFA from Ryerson University’s Image Arts film program, an MFA from OCAD University's Digital Futures program and is a proud associate member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers. Andrew passionately believes in sharing skills and knowledge: in addition to his creative practice, he is actively involved with on-set training programs, professional development workshops, creative, historical and theoretical lectures and has been teaching workshops for over a decade. Some of the organizations he’s collaborated with include the National Screen Institute, Film Training Manitoba, the Winnipeg Film Groupand Freeze Frame Media Arts Centre.
